Crafted from Hardwoods
Each species of wood is unique, offering different texture and color. At Fallen Log Woodworks, we offer a variety of wooden bowls, vases, and platters that showcase the most beautiful aspects of each tree species.
Fallen Log Woodworks crafts its products from hardwoods including Cherry, Maple, Red Oak, White Oak and Walnut logs.
Cherry: Cherry wood has straight grain and varies in color from a vibrant red to a subtle reddish brown.
Maple: Maple is one of America’s beloved trees. The maple sapwood creates a creamy white color with a hint of reddish brown. While the heartwood varies from light to dark reddish brown.
Red Oak: The red oak is respected for its reddish brown appearance with a coarse grain.
White Oak: The white oak is a light to medium brown wood, commonly with an olive cast. Grain is straight, with a coarse uneven texture.
Walnut: Products made from walnut wood can offer a blend of both light to dark brown and occasionally takes on a purple hue..
